Once Upon a Time...

there was a young girl named Crystal who dreamed of becoming a writer. She spent much of her early years dabbling in the oral tradition, telling fanciful tales that earned her a reputation for talking too much in school. Her teachers even had the nerve to send notes home to her parents, detailing her exploits. Imagine that!

Ah, but these minor setbacks failed to stifle her creative spirit.

When Crystal was in sixth grade, she penned her first story in a spiral notebook and allowed a few of her classmates to read it. Pretty brave, but the resulting reviews proved encouraging. Although that story didn’t survive the test of time, she continued to stoke the flames of her imagination and hone her craft while embracing college, marriage, motherhood, and employment. Now, inspired by the rich fabric of life, not to mention the countless books she has devoured over the years, she indulges her need to explore faraway worlds and magical realms, creating characters often intent on depriving her of sleep. A romantic at heart, she writes stories that celebrate love and the extraordinary elements of life, and looks forward to the day when these flights of fancy adorn the shelves as published works.

She's a member of Romance Writers of America, including Heart of Dixie, her local RWA chapter. When not reading and writing, she watches DVDs with her errant Muse and enjoys the flowers in her secret garden. She lives in the country with her beloved Dark Knight and their youngest son.
